In many instances the benefits of a driven pile are often overlooked due to perceived issues relating to noise and vibration. While it is important to identify and evaluate the risks, it has been proven over and over that pile driving noise is tolerable and vibration levels easily controlled to comply with the guidelines for construction sites contained within BS 5228, BS7385 and Eurocode 3. NPL will provide specialised equipment to monitor noise and vibration during piling work as required.
