Northern Piling offer the design, supply, and installation of prefabricated Timber piles. Timber piles are produced to be free of defects, be of sound quality, Straight and have a uniform taper. They vary in lengths from 5.0m to 23.0m, with working loads of 5kN up to 350kN. Timber piles are a sustainable method of piles, as timber is a renewable material. They are easy to install and can also be uninstalled easily also.
Untreated timber piles can also be used for piling works where the pile itself is below the water table, Known as a permanent pile. Untreated timber piles, when exposed above the water table, are susceptible to decay, fungi and can be infected by insects. Untreated piles are driven below the water table and are extended up to the surface using concrete.
